Profiles

Send broadcasts and DMs under a custom sender name and avatar instead of your own.

Overview

By default, Pinguin sends messages under your Slack display name and avatar. Profiles let you define an alternative sender identity — a custom name and publicly accessible image URL.

Create a profile

Open Profiles from the Customization section and click to create a new profile. Provide a name and a publicly accessible image URL for the avatar.

Send as a profile

In the send wizard (step 2), choose Send as custom profile and pick the profile from the dropdown. The broadcast or DM will appear under that name and avatar in each destination.

Manage profiles

View, edit, and delete profiles from the Profiles list. Profile names appear in analytics as the sender when used.
